Youth & Young Adults
The youth department at NMHBC is designed to propel our youth aged members into action and offer them a bigger vision for their lives. We work toward not only stirring=up their passion for Christ, but also demonstrating to our youth and young adult members that they are equipped to pursue the calling that God has on their life. New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church believes in meeting each young person that enters our doors with love, patience and kindness, so we can instill in them ways of Jesus Christ in order to build strong Christians that will continue to uplift the Kingdom of God!
Youth Department Goal: To create an open environment where the youth of today are welcomed to develop a (loving) relationship with Jesus Christ.
How will the Goal be Accomplished: Through opening our hearts, minds and providing ample opportunities, when it comes to our youth member’s Christian development.
REACH / TEACH / MOBILIZE
- REACH every available young person, by every available means, at every available time with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- TEACH and train young believers to walk in victory in every area of their lives
- MOBILIZE the army of God (Youth Leaders & Teachers) – releasing people into the Holy Spirit led ministries at home and around the world.
MONTHLY EVENTS
- Youth & Young Adult Sunday School – 10 am – 10:50 am (Every Sunday)
- Youth & Young Adult Choir Rehearsal – 7 pm (Thursday before the 3rd Sunday (Monthly)
- Youth Sunday – 11 am (3rd Sunday of the month) Devotion
- Youth Bible Study – 7pm (4th Tuesday of every month)
- City of Garland MLK Parade and Youth Musical Presentation – Saturday, Jan. 14th (See Miss Nicole for more details)
- February is Black History Month (See Sis. Janay Strickland for more details)
